Up for grabs in this auction is true gem for any Beatles fan: a rare full size, floor standing 3D display from back in 1996, along with two Beatles cubes to flank it! This huge display stands almost a full five-and-a-half feet tall by three feet wide! The depth doesn't really show in the picture, but the image of the band is actually a separate piece of cardboard that stands out from the Anthology background. The cubes measure 17 inches square, and have various Beatles images on each side. This promotional item was used exclusively in stores and never sold to the public, as were the cubes. This set is in generally great shape for something that was designed to be discarded after immediate use, but t are some little imperfections. Most notably, the top to one of the cubes is creased inwards a tad, though this could likely be bent back out. Otherwise t are a few dings, scruffs, spots and so forth, but conveniently the design of the Anthology cover art is very conducive to covering these flaws, making one have to go looking for them to see them. The tab and notch assembly points are all still intact without the assistance of tape. Before being assembled for the photos below this display had sat unassembled for several years, and frankly I was surprised by how easily and sturdily it popped right back together. While the cubes turn up on various collector sites and on Ebay from time to time, I have never personally seen one of these awesome huge displays offered for sale anyw before! This would make a striking centerpiece to any Beatles collection, or at the very least a wise investment, as the collectible value is certain to only increase with time!
