Item for auction is as follows: 1 Beatles "Yesterday and Today" alternate "trunk cover" slick. Condition is EXCELLENT. This "blue trunk cover" slick was supposed to be used to replace the infamous BUTCHER COVER picture on the original Yesterday and Today album, although the "white trunk cover" slick was chosen instead. Photographer Bob Whitaker, who toured with the Beatles for 2 years, took both the "butcher cover" and "steamer trunk cover" photos. There are only six or seven "original" printed slicks that were discovered in the late 1970's of this cover. There were approximately 300 reproductions printed. They were made to be distinquished from the originals by their much thicker paper stock, and deeper colors. This will be an excellent addition to your Beatles collection. The total size of the slick is 14 3/4" square, including the "white" border. Sorry for the "flash" glow on the picture, I couldn't get my camera to take a picture without the flash.
