BEATRIX POTTER CAT FIGURINE "SUSAN"
Boxed Beatrix Potter âeoeSUSANâe cat figurine modelled in the John Beswick Studio of Royal Doulton. Green-eyed, pale pink-nosed white cat figurine Susan wears a long, light blue dress, a brown shawl with pink and white stripes and a matching snood. The pink bow on her forehead matches her pink shoes, and she carries a woven basket-like tote tucked under her right arm. She stands 4-1/4", and her base is 1-3/4" in diameter. Figurine is in like-new MINT condition. The box is in good-excellent condition. Tâe(tm)s an ink smudge on the lower right sideâe"about an inch in total. On the box bottom, t is adhesive residue from the store price tag, and an inventory number sticker that reads âeoeBeswick P2628âe. From my personal collection, this darling figurine has been carefully and lovingly stored inside a glass-enclosed china cabinet since receiving it in the early 80s. The box reads âeoeThe wonderful world of Beatrix Potterâe"of Jemima Puddleduck, Peter Rabbit, Tom Kitten and over fifty other favourite animal studiesâe"began a little over a hundred years ago, in her parentâe(tm)s London home with a variety of pets, and in the country houses of relatives and friends. The John Beswick Collection includes almost all the characters from the enchanting childrensâe(tm) books Beatrix Potter later wrote. These loveable little animals have been almost brought to life as beautifully hand-painted figures, varying in height from about 3 to 4-1/2 inches. Once you bright one of these entrancing creatures into your home youâe(tm)ll simply have to add more of its friends.
