This great Woodcutter Boy cuckoo clock was made in Germany by Herbert Herr, one of the more famous cuckoo clock maker in the Black Forest. The cuckoo clock is in very good condition and keeps good time. The cuckoo bird appears out of the right door on the hour and cuckoo's and chimes the number of hours, at the same time the woodcutterboy chops wood with each cuckoo. When the cuckoo bird retreats the music starts to play its tune and a german man with his instrument on his lap appears out of the left door simulating playing his instrument and the water wheel turns until the music stops. On the half hour the cuckoo bird appears again and cuckoo's and chimes once. This Woodcutter cuckoo clock is larger than most chalet. It measures 14"H x 11"W x 7"D. The cuckoo clock comes complete with its weights and pendulum. Makes a very nice Christmas gift for your special one in your life. Look at the placard on the side of the clock and it will tell you the tune it plays and the Swiss music movement by this maker is considered one of the best.
