Beautiful Antique art Nouveau era art vase circa 1895 -1905 approx. Made inJasper ware by Schafer Vater , they used such colours as pale pink , blue , lavender , green ect. This has a lovely lavender shade porcelain china. Marked to Base , but not very well - a crown and funny star and an R ? Tiny chip to rim on one corner. is some info about the maker ....Established in 1890 by Gustav Scahfer and Gunther Vater the Thuringia region of southwest Germany, by 1913 this firm employed over two hundred workers. The original factory burned in 1918 but was restarted, and production continued till World War 2.
