Magnificent brass microscope, I think from about 1897 but not at all certain. About a foot tall, weighs about ten pounds. I believe it was made by Verick and Hartenack, on the back of the horseshoe base it is engraved: C Verick elive special de E. Hartnack rue de la Parchminerie 2, Paris. It has lenses by Zeiss AA, Gundlach, Spencer & Smith. Mirror is flat on one side, concave on the other. Some of the silvering has gone bad around trhe edges of the mirror but other than that I see no problems with this piece. But then. I don't know much about them either. so write if you have questions. Do not wait until the last few hours.
Email questions, I'll answer if I can. Buyer pays shipping and I will send this to the US and North America, Europe, Japan, Australia. Domestic I'll use a flat rate box if I'm confident it'll handle the weight safely, because that will save you money for sure. This baby is heavy. I accept Domestic, I also accept money orders. Of course I will gang purchases for shipping to save your weary wallet from undue stress. I hate to do this, but bidders with less than 10 feedbacks contact me before bidding. Thanks, and check my other auctions, I list some great, odd stuff.
