Beautiful CM Hutschenreuther Maria Tsa and Joseph II Plaques
This auction features two plaques they are embossed with hallmark with the crown that has a cross on top, with "C | M" on the top and HR on the bottom. They are painted beautifully with great quality, detail and color. T are a couple of issues with condition, they do have some pain missing w the frame rests against the plaque and t is a small chip on the Maria Tsa plaque. These are not visible when they are in the frames. I believe that these date from the late 19th or early 20th century They are depictions of very significant historical figures Maria Tsa and Joseph II. Maria Tsa, was a reigning Archduchess of Austria, a Queen of Hungry, Croatia and Bohemia, and a Holy Roman Empress. The other plaque is of her oldest son Joseph II who was Holy Roman Emperor from 1765 to 1790 and ruler of the Habsburg lands from 1780 to 1790. Details When removed from the frames, I measured plaques. Both of the plaques are the same size, 3 1/16" x 3 1/16" or 7.78 cm x 7.78 cm. Inside of the frames they measure, 4 1/4" long, 3 9/16" wide or 10.79 cm x 9.05 cm. Under the plaques were newspaper clippings, I scanned these and will be happy to email them to anyone that wants to see, they are written in German. The hallmarks are on the back of both plaques they are numbered, "463". Frames are made of brass with nice patina, these were not polished. First-Class mail could also be used for within the USA. Insurance is optional. For other locations, the weight is provided for shipping calculations. I do stand behind what I sell. I will except returns if not happy with your purchase because you feel I misrepresented what I am selling. T does need to be communication, if you are not happy with something let me know. For returns the item MUST be in the same condition as it was when sold for a return to be issued. When the item is returned to me, payment is issued.
