Eastlake Style Platform Rocker Very Old but the frame is in excellent condition The chair has been re-upholstered many years ago and now it needs some work on the springs in the seat and new covering It is a lovely piece T is beautiful detail on the woodwork and the wood looks like walnut but I am not an authority on wood T is a piece that has come off the back decoration at the top, like a wing, but I saved it. It just needs to be tacked back on. No damage done to the wood at this area It can easily be reattached This chair was purchased in a local auction and I do plan to refurbish it if I don't sell it 1st I have attached the loose piece to the bottom of the chair for safe keeping so you will see it in the photos T is a very small area of damage on the front seat area wood but a furniture restorer would know how to fix that. I think it adds character to the chair due to the age but others may disagree with me.
