Fresh from a fine local estate, is a rare and beautiful Meissen hard paste porcelain shallow bowl or plate. It measures 9" wide x 1 1/2" high and features heavily gold gilded raised fruit & floral decorations all over the top surface. The bottom has the Meissen crossed swords underglaze mark along with "CT. q 86 Z" impressed numbers and letters. My wife says this piece is a bowl but it looks and feels more like a plate to me. It is in overall good to very good condition with NO chips, cracks, nicks, hairlines, etc., but it does have moderate gilding wear, as one might expect due to the age of this piece.
