This is a beautiful Anton Schneider Sohne cuckoo clock made in Germany in 1971. This cuckoo clock is like new and is very clean and runs very strong, keeps good time. This cuckoo clock is made of all wood, including the man chopping wood and the German dancers. The colors on this excellent cuckoo clock are outstanding. I see no chips or blemishes on the case. T is a Swiss musical movement in the works that plays two different tunes, one on the hour and the other on the half hour that is on a lable on the bottom. The cuckoo bird appears on the hour and cuckoo's and chimes the number of hours, at the same time the man chopping wood swings his AX with each number of cuckoo's. When the cuckoo bird retreats the music plays, the water wheel turns and the dancers twirl around in and out of their house until the music stops. On the half hour the same sequence happens with the cuckoo bird cuckoo's and chimes once. This cuckoo clock comes complete with its weights and pendulum, looks like everything is origional on this cuckoo clock. Great gift for someone in your life. Ready to hangup and enjoy for a number of years with all this animation. I neglected to mention that this beaytiful cuckoo clock has a night shutoff for that light sleeper but still keeps the time.
