Beautiful Art Nouveau Female Face Stick Pin with Rose Diamond Tiara The Art Nouveau Era began in France in the 1880's and lasted until 1914. The characteristics of the beautiful jewelry and other objects created during this time are fluid, asymetrical, curvy, flowing hair, flora and fauna and especially beautiful female heads or entire female figures and the use of enamel. Also the work of Rene Lalique is perhaps the finest example of jewelry made during that romantic period. This beautiful female face is so exquisite and finely detailed, the face is irridescent in a creamy color with red lips, detailed eyes and eyebrows. The eyebrow on the right side is a bit fainter and the very tip of her nose is slightly worn since that is the highest point of the stick pin. Typical of the era, the hair is lush, full and flowing in an asymetrical design. T is one large enameled blossom on each side of her face. This identical flower motif i found on some other art nouveau items i have. T is a small opening in the very center of each flower. Set into her hair and low on the forehead is a beautiful triangular shape rose diamond tiara with the point facing up - i count 8 rose diamond chips that sparkle.
