NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM!!! This beautifully hand made Native American beaded flat bag would be the perfect addition to your spring Pow Wow regalia! The bag measures 10 3/4" wide, 10 3/4" long with two 4 1/2" leather handles. The leather edging/border overlaps the backside by 3/4" to 1" in different spots. The backside is finished with a light brown/tan cotton corduroy material. The inside is finished with a cotton material featuring a "busy" pattern of browns, whites and reds. The whole bag's finishing work is done with hand stitching.
The beaded front of this authentic Native American beaded flat bag features a horse's head/neck and seven elegant roses. The beads used are a mix of seed and cut beads. The colors used are a mix of opaque and translucent beads, featuring a "flat" beading technique. The overall beaded design is in tact, with exception of a spot in the upper left corner which appears to be missing one bead (no loose beads or strings, so possibly it is part of the original design). T doesn't appear to be any repairs made to the original beadwork.
The overall condition of this beautiful beaded flat bag is good. T is definite show of use, with some soiling/staining around the outside edges and corners of the leather edging. T are no stains or holes on the backside (corduroy) of the bag. The inside of the bag has a few spots of wear and t is a small horizontal tear/rip to the lining that measures about 1/2" (very difficult to photograph this so it shows up). None of these signs of use detract from the overall beauty of this unique hand-made Native American beaded flat bag.
