THESE ARE AUTHENTIC AND STAMPED ON THE BOTTOM..THIS IS A CLASSIC AND LOVELY PATTERN HAND PAINTED. IT FEATURES A COBALT BLUE PATTERN WITH CANDY CANES, HOLLY AND BERRIES ALL AROUND ACCENTING THE MIDDLE OF THE TEAPOT.. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.. THESE TEAPOTS RETAINED HEAT LONGER. HOLDS APPROX 8 CUPS OF LIQUID AND MEASURES 6.5" TALL FROM BASE TO TIP OF TEAPOT LID AND IS 10" WIDE FROM SPOUT TO HANDLE.... REALLY NICE WEIGHT.. Boleslawiec (Bowl-e-swa-vee-etz) is located on the Bobr River near the German and Czech borders. This region of the world has been a potter's community dating to the 7th century. History of Polish Pottery: This folk artoriginated in the early 1800's by farmers in the German province of Silesia, now part of Poland. Decorations inspired by the peacock feather included greens, blues, and earth tones. Each piece of stoneware is made with indigenous white CLAY .
