This auction is for a beautiful set of Fuchigashira for a japanese sword. These are modern reproductions. they were from Ted Tenold of Legacy Art Swords, an american nihonto polisher. they were custom crafted from the originals in ted's collection. a few years ago, he used to sell reproductions he had made specifically for him on his site, to offer an afforable alternative to antique fittings. the difference is that unlike most modern day lower priced fittings, the quality is excellent. i believe these are made of shakudo. they have highlights in gold. the finish of these is very nice. you cannot find nicer reproduction fittings short of full custom ones, but they will be 3x more expensive.

you could go to a site and buy reproduction fittings for your project, but they will not be nearly as nice as these, especially for the price. this is one of the last sets Mr Tenold ever sold, t are not many of these out t the only reason i am selling these is that i am in need of money. life is not always easy i suppose. i will be very sad to see these go. they had originally been planned for a 26inch nagasa shinto katana, but i ended up getting an offer on it i could not pass up, and i sold it. so, these have been sitting unused for a while. these deserve to be mounted up appropriately. they will fit a large wakizashi or small to medium sized katana. these are perfect for the beginner/intermediate sword collector who does not have the funds to spend on total custom or antique fittings. they get very expensive very quickly.

these will be shipped very well packaged, and will come in a paulonia (sp) wood box. shipping to united states is $7.00 flat, i will ship priority mail unless otherwise requested. if you live internationally, email me for a quote with your location. i accept paypal only. buyer must pay within 3 days of auction end, and i will ship immediately upon reciept of payment. the buy it now price is the price they were when they were purchased, they have never been used or mounted, always stored in the box. reserve is only 100.00 so someone does not get too lucky ;-)
