This beautiful little Stamp Box comes from an estate of most wonderful treasures - including Tiffany and a wonderful Welch Patti clock I sold a few weeks ago. This is champleve I believe, but I do not know the origin - it could be French, Russian or Asian - all I do know is that the workmanship and detail is incredible. It appears to be gilt with gold although I have no way to test it. This box measures 1 3/8" wide x 1 3/16" deep x 3/4" tall. As you can see, it is intricatly decorated on every side except the bottom. The colors are wonderful and I can see no damage whatsoever - it is in excellent condition - opens & closes perfectly. A fabulous stamp box for any collection. I'm also listing a tiny pair of candlesticks that are made the same as this box and they are from the same estate. Please check out our other auctions.
