BEAUTIFUL GUSTAVIAN STYLE HALF-MOON TABLES, C. 1850 Description Featured is a pair of beautiful antique half-moon tables (so called Demilune) in Gustavian style. They are made in Sweden c. 1850. It is rare to find a pair of tables of this kind, which makes them so much more attractive. They can be used individually or together as a complete round table. How versatile, when a beautiful extra table is needed for entertaining. The tables are made of pine and have been retouched in a light gray color - true to the Gustavian palette. They have been painted only on the outside which is very typical for this time period. The carved detail on the apron is exquisite. The legs are fluted and tapered - simple but very elegant.
