From my own collection of knives, daggers, and other antiques, comes this beautiful Indonesian sword or kris knife (keris). This kris is one of my best daggers. I think this kris is very well made. The damasc pattern on the blade which resembles plant leaves, is absolutely STUNNING and very well made. I was told that this type of pattern is not easy to make, especially that it is well centered. The blade is 14 1/4" solid watered steel pamor, curved blade. It is not thin and in fact it has a nice weight to it. The fancy sheath and handle is finely handcarved from beautiful exotic tropical wood. The wood grain is beautiful with a fine, slightly textured surface. The wooden sheath is carved from a single piece of wood and it comes with a (brass?) metal insert. This keris is not an antique, I bought it simply because I like the beautiful craftsmanship on the blade (and paid good money for it too!!). Guess now it's time to part with it. I'm cleaning most of my entire collection. Getting ready to move out. We do combine shipping.Buyer within continental USA pays $10.00 s/h by USPS priority mail. Delivery confirmation included.
