Beauty and function, two of my favorite traits especially when found together.

This beautiful intricately tooled leather purse presents with moderate signs of wear and tear. I believe it has been through a fire as I am able to detect a faint smell of ashes, not cigarette smoke more of a wet fire log. The leather has been cleaned and conditioned painstakingly to revive the exquisite detailing. The colors are vibrant especially the gold gilding(see photos). Signature tooled into the design,under the clasp button. The brass hardware remains functional without damage. The clasp is a branch of pine ( Matsu ) on a New Moon and latches securely. The handle is fashioned to resemble bamboo. It would tuck into the belt or sash (obi) of the owner. I first thought this to be a tobacco pouch and it very well may be. I wear it tucked under my belt worn close to the body, its the perfect size.

It measures 12 x 8.5 x 1.5 cm and is expandable to +2.5 cm and is quite functional.
