This large vintage, beautiful Satsuma vase lamp is 28" tall to the top of the finial with the vase itself being 15" tall and 7" in diameter. It dates from the Meiji Period. T is a figure of a man one one side and of a group of three on the other. The converted vase is richly decorated with raised enamel design work done in many colors. The lamp has duel sockets, which are working and a metal base. A patent date is written at the end of the metal pull chain " PAT May 9 11 ". T is a chip on the base rim which is shown in the last photo, some crazing on the enamel and small areas of paint missing on the base. The old cloth cord needs to be replaced. Supersize the photos for a closer look.
