This beautiful Lanthorn Powder Flask is Continental in origin and dates from the early to mid 19th Century. It is constructed of two pieces of transparent horn which are joined by a riveted seam. The horn has survived in very healthy condition. The Flask wears all brass fittings with the cap serving as a powder measure charger which remains in good working order and all the brass has now developed a pretty aged patina. Overall measuring 7 3/4 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches wide.
