This is a beautiful, large wooden jewelry box bought at an upscale jewerly store in Savannah, GA in the late 80's. The wood is either burl mahagony or burl maple, I cannot remember exactly, but I do remember I paid close to $400.00 for it many years ago. It has lighter colored inlaid wood on the top, which is very beautiful up close. I took the best pictures I could. Picture #3 is the most realistic color of the wood. It opens from the top with 10 compartments and 5 bracelet or watch holders. T is elastic pouches on each side of the door. The next 2 drawers have different size compartments for your jewelry. The material inside in a creamy, soft velvet which is in excellent condition. T are no marks or scratches inside. The bottom is black velvet. This held my jewelry for years and I have taken very good care of it. T are no scratches on the outside either. T are no marks or tags anyw I have lost the paperwork that came with it so this is all the information I have to offer. Please take this into consideration when bidding. The hinges and knobs are gold in color. The box measures 9" tall, 12.375" wide and 8.875" deep. It is quite large and will hold many pieces of jewelry. It is in excellent condition. It weighs 10.5 lbs, so it is quite heavy.
