THIS QUALITY BUILT CLOCK WAS BUILT WITH MUCH PRIDE WHEN THIS CLOCK WAS BUILT WITH A LITTLE BIT OF CARE THIS CLOCK HAS WITHSTOOD 80 YEARS, AND IF WITH ADDITIONAL CARE IT WILL BE PASSED DOWN THRU OTHER GENERATIONS AS YOU ARE SEEING IT NOW A HUNDRED MORE YEARS FROM NOW. THIS CLOCK AMAZES ME BECAUSE THE CHIMES SOUND LIKE BRAND NEW BUT ARE 80 YEARS OLD AND SOUND FABULOUS. THIS CLOCK WILL DO NOTHING BUT RISE IN VALUE. I WISH I DID NOT HAVE TO SELL THIS ONE AS I AM FORCED TO REDUCE MY COLLECTION AS THIS ONE IS A GOOD ONE.
THE MOVEMENT HAS THE STAMP "MODELE DOPOSE" ON THE REAR BRASS PLATE. IT HAS BEEN SERVICED, AND OILED. IT IS IN GREAT RUNNING CONDITION AND HAS HAD ANY NECESSARY WORN BUSHING'S AND PINIONS REPLACED. IT WILL GIVE YEARS OF EXCELLENT SERVICE TO THE NEW OWNER. THE MOVEMENT IS A TRIPLE WIND SPRING WOUND EIGHT DAY TIME AND STRIKE MOVEMENT THAT ANNOUNCES THE TIME EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES LEADING TO THE HOUR IN WHICH IT PLAYS FOUR WESTMINSTER TUNES, FOLLOWING THE COUNTING OF THE HOUR. THE ORIGINAL KEY IS WITH THE CLOCK AND HAS THE KEEPER LOCATED ON THE INSIDE OF THE CLOCK KEY. THIS CLOCK IS A TRIPLE WIND SO TO RUN THE CLOCK PROPERLY YOU WILL NEED TO WIND ALL THREE ARBORS. AS YOU CAN SEE IN MY PHOTO'S THE MOVEMENT LOOKS AS GREAT AS IT DID WHEN LEAVING THE FACTORY.
THE UPPER GLASS AND LOWER GLASS IS OLD AND WAVY AND IS ORIGINAL TO THE CLOCK. T ARE NO EXTRA HOLES AROUND THE MOVEMENT OR SIGNS OF TAMPERING WITH IT EITHER.
