This antique is a beautiful old seated Kwan-yin statue on the back of beast carved with wood from china.Kwan-yin is seated in the position of sacred beast, which is best for deep meditation.This figure is hand carved and painted with exquisite detail in reds,and green and yellow.Beautiful pieces of of art and inspiration.Although passed many years,the colours in the surface had partially brushed off .But still it can be say as a masterpiece in chinese wood carvings.This is truly a magnificent piece: the wood is lovely, and the appearance is outrageously beautiful.It's sure to make an impression where ever you choose to place it.
