You are bidding on an original Rose Canton (Rose Medallion without people) pitcher from the mid to late 1800s. This pitcher was part of my Mother-in-Law's estate and she purchased it back in the 1960s at one of Rhode Island's most reputable antique stores. This pitcher is approximately 5 inches high and is 4 inches across at the widest part of the body. It has very nice ornate handle and t are 2 beautiful birds and 12 very detailed butterflies painted in the various panels on the body. T are a lot of rich gold accents on the body as well as around the upper rim. The bottom is unmarked as this was made well before 'country of origin' markings. T is absolutely no damage or wear anyw and all the colors are still deep and rich. I am including a lot of close-up pictures to show all the details of this very unusual and pretty pitcher. And my low starting bid and no reserve, this beautiful Rose Canton pitcher would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection or to display with other Victorian furnishings.
