Vintage Ceramic DOBERMAN PINSCHER Figurine . This figurine is just BEAUTIFUL with RICH VIBRANT COLOR and FRIENDLY FACE. The item is made of some kind of ceramic (it doesn't feel like china or porcelain) and m easures approx. 6 " tall and 7 " long. T are no pottery markings or identification. Appears to be fairly old, but I do not know its exact age. GOOD CONDITION, but not perfect. T are some glaze cracks and crazing throughout the item, mostly on the lower legs, upper thighs and lower back (my camera was not able to focus on the fine cracks or crazings so I could not include a photo.) One of the glaze cracks (on the upper left thigh) is rough to the touch and may be a crack in the ceramic itself, but appears to be just the glaze and has no "give" in that area indicative of more structural defect. (I included the best photo of that area that I am able to get w/ my camera.) On the bottoms of the feet t is a layer of off-color substance that appears to be fairly old and might be glaze but I can't be certain (see photo). T is also a small mark on the underside of the breast w the glaze has worn away (see photo). Even with its flaws, this is a LOVELY piece and the flaws are not noticeable except upon close inspection.
