This auction is for a very lovely vintage French silk lace, which is new old stock and has never been used. It is a black net lace with hexagon-shaped designs and then gold silk embroidery threads are woven through to create the diamond-shaped effect. The floral design at the bottom is closely woven silk threads. The shade of gold is sort of a greenish gold, in my opinion and very striking. This is all natural fibers and the black net could possibly be a fine cotton or silk, but the embroidered gold threads are silk. After having done a burn test, this totally disintegrated and had the terrible smell of burning hair, which is indicative of silk fibers. This is in excellent condition with no tears, rips or stains. It is a very desirable textile and is lightweight, however, it has much body, due to the embroidery work at the bottom portion. This lovely textile measures approximately 42" x 7 3/4". The large flowers measure approximately 2" in diameter and t are four scallops in between each flower measuring about 3". T are 8 full flowers and almost a full one and half of one at either end. S&H is $1.65 within USA. ************************************************************************************************************ I prefer payment with a money order or cashiers check. When it is a small amount, Pay Pal is a last resort, but when it goes over $100.00, a large percentage of the total final fee at the end of the auction is pricey. I am very fair with my shipping costs at all times because I understand how expensive it can be when one is buying multiple items, and I am certainly not making that much money off of it. I would just like the common courtesy of taking heed to my request and if t is any problem, I will certainly listen and make it easier on you. I realize that some cannot get money orders that readily, so PLEASE ASK FIRST, before making any assumptions. No personal checks please unless you have asked me and I am certain that you can be trusted. All sales are final unless I have grossly misrepresented an item. If you have any questions or concerns regarding method payment, please contact me and I will get back to you as quickly as possible. I am a reasonable person and will try to accommodate you. Please do not make assumptions; just ask. I would also very much appreciate it if you would please answer my invoice within 3 days so that I know if and how you will be paying for the transaction. Payment is due within 5 days of auction end. I will notify the winning bidder within 24 hours of auction with an invoice. If I do not hear from a winner after several attempts of sending e-mails and invoices for your transaction, I will be forced to go through Pay Pal to remind you. If you do not take heed to this warning, then I will close the dispute and a strike will be taken against you. I will also re-list the item and leave appropriate feedback. It is only common courtesy to respond to my e-mails or invoices. I have had too many non-paying bidders and am not going to wait one week after the auction has ended and then one decides to tell me that they will be sending payment. This is my livelihood and is not fair to me. I am more than willing to work things out with you if you are having a problem with payment, but if you are in this predicament, then you should not be placing a bid in the first place, if you cannot carry through with the transaction. International Bidders are most welcome, but please notify me before placing a bid (must pay with Pay Pal only). I WILL NOT SHIP TO SPAIN! I HAVE HAD TOO MANY PROBLEMS AND MOST OF THE TIME T IS A COMMUNICATION BARRIER AND IT IS QUITE FRUSTRATING. I'm sorry to do this, but I have had an unpleasant experience with an e-bayer who after 6 months time is saying that she never received her item. I would also like to note that since all sales are final, if you are not sure about this item and have had all questions answered sufficiently, please do not place a bid.
