Ca. 1920's Music Master horn loudspeaker with a hard-to-find (and beautiful) spruce bell. This is the first of two working, original, collector-quality Music Master horn speakers that I'm listing on ebay this week. The other one is an early Music Master Concert Amplifyer with a 21" diameter mahogany horn.Like the speaker in the my other auction, this spruce-belled reproducer is difficult to find in any condition, so it's a pleasure to encounter an example in such outstanding shape. As you can see in the photographs, the wood grain on the leaves is beautifully matched, and the bell itself -- with its original finish still intact and its original Music Master decal in excellent condition -- is among the most beautiful I've ever seen on any Music Master horn. The paint on the throat and base is original and in excellent condition. The decal on the throat is worn, as you can see, but t is no paint flaking, no rust peeking through anyw, no damage of any kind or cosmetic issues of any significance. The cloth-covered leads running from the driver to the metal tips is in excellent shape, with no fraying or tears and still very flexible. The felt on the underside of the base is a replacement, but it's the correct color, and it looks just like it should. This a working loudspeaker, not simply a display piece.
