While Hokusai and Hiroshige dominated the landscape print field, artists like Kuniyoshi, Kunisada (Toyokuni III), Kunichika and others were in the forefront of the figural print genre. These stunning prints from the kabuki, daily life, portraits of courtesans and samurai and famous scenes of Japan were hugely popular. Signed- Hiroshige (1797 - 1858) Image size- 9" x 13 1/4" Condition- Generally good condition overall as shown with excellent original color and fine detail. No holes, tears, or stains to report. The print is not backed. Was folded horizontally, now flattened. Slightly wrinkled on the surface. The upper left corner was torn, now repaired. Blends very well. Nice overall.
