Antique c1920 Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt, incredibly beautiful. Abundantly charming, and very finely made - tiny hexagons, the loveliest feedsack prints, an artistic eye for color and design, and wonderfully small stitching. You will love to look at this quilt! It measures approx 82 x 82 inches, scalloped on every side in green, all hand bound. The quilt backing is made from 3 panels of cotton that have been machine stitched together. Everything else is entirely hand stitched, at an average of 8-9 spi. The hexagons measure approx 1.25 x 1.5 inches, though some near the edges seem a touch larger. The quilt weighs about 3 lbs 12 oz. Excellent condition. Very crisp, likely unused, not washed. Some fold lines in front, a couple spots on back (last photo), a few dark specks. Mellow with age, will brighten with a wash. Looks fantastic now. Absolutely gorgeous!
