Fantastical Beaux-Arts era vintage gold plate winged griffin or gargoyle locket/watch lapel pin. No markings. Secure roll-over safety clasp. Petite round gold fill locket suspended from griffin's talons. Hinged lid with engraved monogram " HMH " snaps open to reveal two compartments for photos. Original decorative paper backing and gold frame inserts intact. Locket lid with surface scuffs. 2" Total length. Griffin measures 1 1/8 long and wide. Locket measures 5/8" diameter. Photo compartments measure just under 1/2" diameter.
