Black Bechstein Upright Piano Serial No. 38097 Year of Manufacture 1896 This piano has been in our hotel for about 15 years. Although it looks a bit tatty, it has a great sound and a very playable light action. Here is the description of the piano as written by the reputable tuner who has kept it in full working order whilst in my possession. "Classic Bechstein with oblique overstrung, full iron frame and underdamper action. Reconditioned 20 years ago - New strings, tuning pins, damperfelts, tapes etc. Casework black - not reconditioned but in fair condition for 1896 ! Tuned to A440 (Concert pitch)" End of January 2012 Collection only I'm afraid and please don't bid unless you are prepared to pick it up within 10 days of the end of the auction. There's no reserve. Viewing can also be arranged during the auction if requested. £50 payment required by paypal straight after auction and any balance can be paid by paypal, bacs or during collection.
