BECK BINOCULAR MICROSCOPE
This late 19th century brass monocular microscope stands approx. 14 inches high. Manufactured by R & J Beck, it is housed in its original mahogany case. The cast brass, folding and hinged base plate is marked, R & J Beck 6366 LONDON. The microscope folds flat for storage. A removable prism sits at the junction of the two tubes. The case houses various accessories. A Bulls-eye lens, two pairs of eye pieces and three objective lenses are held in a removable tray that conceals a compartment storing a few glass slides and part of a live box.
