RARE IMAGES OF MUSIC HISTORYBEGINNING OF THE ENDFunky Nassau sample staple.From the Bahamas, with a funk floor filler groove,this photo is from Atco Records, possibly around the time of their hard to find but about as funky 2nd LPalthough it may have been sent when the first was released, just not with the Alston logo on it, as Atco, the Atlantic arm, was the distributor for Alston Records.It states: Funky Nassau on the white border. Great early photo of BEGINNING OF THE END , 8 X 10" glossy black & white press / publicity photo. The photograph is an original from the record company, ATCO RECORDS sent to magazines, newspapers, and selected radio stations. You may have seen the image in a newspaper or magazine, although it is a rare versionand may only have been used in a very few publications, if at all. Along the bottom of the white border is the group name, also Funky Nassau, the name of the booking agency, and Distributed by Atco Records. I purchased many of the photos I've been listing from a music magazine in the late 1970's, photographs in their files from the 1960's and through the 1970's. The photos have been stored in my WASS - The Warehouse of the Aisles of Sight & Sound. CONDITION : The photo is Near Mint Condition : The photo has slight magazine handling marks with light slight soft crease mark on the lower white border, hard to initially notice unless held at an angle, it's got the beauty of the patina of age - it's part of its' history from that time it was in their files, and part of the charm of this great photograph. Also on the back are technical marking by the magazine as it was used for publication - stating page, line screen size and other notations. They do not bleed through. As great as it is to see an image of the photo, it does not do justice to the excitement of actually holding the moment of history in your hands. The first item is shipped for the normal shipping, and tafter each item is $2.00 each for shipping. If item or MULTIPLE orders add up to $150.00 or more, they are shipped with Signature Confirmation added to regular shipping at buyers expense in the US and International. I can hold the photos/magazines/records for two weeks, if you continue to bid on other items over a 14 day period, in order for all to be shipped together in one package to save you money on shipping/handling. The items won and paid for at the end of the 14 day period are the only ones that I will be able to send in the one package. It's a PayPal structured rule.
