Antique Belgian stamp Search This auction is for 1 extremely rare 1936 Belgian .25 franc stamp picturing Léon Degrelle and the Rex Party symbol. These were sold in books of 10 for 2.50 francs at Rexist Party movements. mint/unused/unhinged Léon Degrelle (June 15,1906-March 31,1994) Walloon Belgian politician, who founded Rexism and later led Walloon Waffen SS. Upon reaching the Eastern Front he was not familiar with any weapon, but before his return to Germany he had 75 hand-to-hand kills. He received the Ritterkreuz (Knights Cross) directly from Hitler's hands. I has been said that Hitler told him "if I had a son, I wish he'd resemble you". He was later awarded the oakleaves.
