I acquired this Belknap BlueGrass belt axe sheath with a felling axe, but they did not fit together. I don't have any belt axes or hatchets that need a sheath, so it's up for auction. This is a very nice, lightly used sheath, that has good tight stitching and rivets. The cover snaps on and off easily, but holds securely. The rivets and cover snap are nickle plated, but have light pitting in the plating. The leather is in excellent shape with no signs of age deterioration or dryness. The BlueGrass logo is clearly stamped into the leather. I believe (but can't verify) that this may have been ordered by the US military. Beneath the BG logo is the stamped identifier: TO5-BG811 and I can't find that as a Belknap part number. The sheath and belt axe may have been part of the personal equipment set for an military engineer, lineman, etc. If you are buying this as a militaria item, then verify the authenticity of the stamped ID (TO5-BG811) for your own satisfaction.I ship by USPS Priority to your location.
