In 2005, Danica Patrick qualified for the Indy 500 in the fourth position, the highest starting position obtained by any previous woman. Patrick went on to lead 19 laps of the race, but fell back to 4th place at the finish. From that race forward, Danica Mania erupted and people all over the world tuned in to watch the woman racer. Patrick obtained her first pole at the Kansas Speedway later that year. She also received the Rookie of the Year title in her sport. In 2006, she finished ninth in the IndyCar Series standings even though she sat out the opening race due to the death of teammate Paul Dana. She was also voted the Indy DownForce Most Popular Driver for the second consecutive season. Produced exclusively by the famous Bell Helmets, this is a detailed replica of the helmet worn by 2005 Rookie of the year, Danica Patrick.
