First of all my apologies to anyone who bid on this bell last week. I removed this item because I have been reliably informed that it is in fact a modern copy and therefore wouldn’t want anyone to think, as I did, that it was an original.Any how, someone has clearly gone to a lot of trouble, as it looks right, is well made and with the flick of the lever has a nice ring. On further investigation I’ve discovered that it appears to be modelled on Lucas’s single striking bell circa 1890, which with the adjustable handle bar clamp will fit both Ordinary and Safety bicycles/tricycles.The dome measures around 3 inches in diameter.This item will be packaged in a good sturdy box and postage to overseas buyers will be by Royal Mail International Signed for Service.
