Estate - Ben Wade 'Danish Pride' Smoking Pipe in Very Good Condition!

This is a NO Reserve auction for this terrific Ben Wade Freehand Plateau Briar 'Danish Pride' Smoking Pipe. It is in Very Good Condition for an estate pipe. T are NO Issues . It has a really nice rusticated finish along with areas of smooth, polished grain patterns. The pipe is very well balanced and lightweight for a pipe of its overall size. I find the pipe sits very smoothly in my hand, making is a pleasure to hold. The walls of the Plateau Briar bowl are 3/8" thick. The multi shade lucite stem contains the Ben Wade white crown symbol . No Issues are noted. The pre-owned pipe has been around for 35 plus years- t is some ash in the bowl and some dings and such-- all that would be expected of such a pipe. Some of the rustication is slightly smoothed out-- from years of holding the pipe. I would say that this Ben Wade is a very attractive and well-designed smoking pipe-- and a pleasure to hold-- and, most likely, to smoke. It should provide a very nice addition to your pipe collection-- if you are a Ben Wade/Preben Holm fan!! Overall length of 6"; bowl height of about 2 3/4" and inner bowl diameter of a tad less than 1". Outer bowl diameter is about 2" in width. It is an extremely lightweight pipe -- a real pleasure! Nomenclature on shank (Crisp and Clear): Danish Pride by Ben Wade; Handmade in Denmark . As noted above, the attractive lucite stem does contain the white crown symbol. However, the white crown symbol is clearly visible, but the white has been buffed off over the years--hence, it might not be 'visible' in the pictures-- but is definately on the stem!
