This barely used 36-hole hub is the nicest one I've worked on. Perfect shell finish, and brake arm plating that is better than many age-corroded NOS ones. Red paint on shell is even intact. As a bonus, includes the hard-to-find original grip-washers, standard washers, and nuts. The only marks on the entire assembly are some small plier marks on nuts--everthing else in and out looks absolutely unused. This one was totally disassembled according to factory shop manual steps. All internal parts inspected using factory step-by-step procedure. Finally, properly lubricated, assembled, and adjusted by the book. Proper lubrication includes heavy-duty oil on high and low speed drive clutches, indexing spring, and high and low retarder springs. Quality bicycle grease on inner hub shell, ball retainers, loose balls, high and low speed drive screw, planet gears, and adjusting cone sun gear. Hypoid gear oil used on brake discs to enhance efficient, quiet operation. Rolls and shifts as smooth as can be. Beautiful and ready for display or operation--lace to any 36-hole rim. These triple red-band "Automatic" hubs were used on 1959-1966 Schwinns (around 66, they went to shoe-brake yellow-band) and other middleweight makes of the same era. You won't be disappointed with this one--checked out and reconditioned to new! Will ship in U.S. for $10.00 USPS
