#41 You are bidding on an ( Original Bronze Benin Wall Plaque) which is cleverly displayed in a triple matted Shadow Box. This wall plaque adorned the palaces of the Benin Empire during the height of their reign. This particular piece as with other plaques of similar origin, depicts the King guarded by his royal guards. This magnificent piece was purchased for a personal collection.

This piece retails anyw from $1500.00 to $4,000.00 without the shadow box.

Its dimensions are 27 3/4" in height x 25 3/4" long and is 31/2" deep. The shadow box and frame were custom designed to preserve the piece and are made of quality wood. The frame has a nice texture. The shadow box alone cost us $1,200.00. No accurate age has been established for this piece, all we know is that it was purchased directly from an importer of African artifacts.
