The benitoite specimen shown is a small cabinet size one measuring about 3.0" x 2.0" x 0.75" thick. It features four main crystals with three of them measuring over 1/2" across. The fourth is just popping out of the white natrolite and shows about 1/4" of the crystal. Benitoite was scarce at Tucson this year and whatever was available was quickly snapped up. Specimens like this with large complete crystals sold for well over $200 at the show. 's a chance to own a very nice example of one of the world's rarest mineral specimens.
