This is a nice early item from Bennington/Rockingham Pottery, a very nice glazed relief pitcher with a great hunting scene; one side has the hunter aiming and the other side t are pheasants in a bush or tree. The handle is a hunting hound dog leaning over and looking inside the pitcher. Color is a nice deep Rockingham brown glaze with lighter areas in heavy relief that depicts the scene. Pitcher measures 8âe tall. Unfortunately this beautiful Rockingham pitcher does not come without flaws. Directly under the lip at the base of the pitcher, t is a large 1âe chip that has been color blended over, does blend in nicely, not distracting and does not take away from the overall beauty of the piece. Although not in perfect condition, this Rockingham pitcher is a very nice early item and still displays very handsomely . Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Items are described to the best of my knowledge, please do not hesitate to ask any questions before bidding. ****************** An invoice will follow at end of auction . Priority Mail Shipping. Will combine shipping on more than one item if won by the same winning bidder. PAYMENT: Would prefer Cashiers check, M.O. or personal checks, which are most welcome. Paypal also accepted. Please allow 5 âe" 7 days for checks to clear. Thank You. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 10
