Isn't this extraordinary ????!!!! Exquisite BENROSE Porcelain Piece - MADE in ITALY It is signed .... Very beautiful ... very UNUSUAL ...... I always consult with my Canadian Authority on things that might be vintage or antique - and she commented on the ROCOCO influence in this piece - Rococo -definition - A style of art, especially architecture and decorative art, that originated in France in the early 18th century and is marked by elaborate ornamentation, as with a profusion of scrolls, foliage, and animal forms. The pictures that I take with my camera do not do it justice - Capodimonte - It is an ORNATE PORCELAIN STATUE , DETAILED IN GOLD , WITH A CHILD , Many meticulously made and handpainted FLOWERS, and Meticulously detailed KOI FISH ON THE BASE ..... It stands about 15 inches tall - It has GOLD in it - it is not just GOLD PAINTED ... On the underside it says BENROSE ITALY 82S ( or is that 825 ??? ) I am not sure ... And it looks like t is a P or a D carved in the underside by the name It is SNOWY WHITE inside - with out the glaze - It has a brass ring on the top - VERY FINELY DETAILED - I am awed by how wonderful and careful the detailing is ... Each flower petal is perfect ---- every feature intact ---- This piece is chip free and crack free ....... T are many roses .... of different colors .... starfish ..... 2 clamshells .... the koi ...and the child of course .....
