Attractive and period BENRUS Square Gents Gold Plated Wristwatch with glass domed crystal and fancy lugs. The case (25mm x 25mm) shows no wear to speak of and the domed glass crystal is good. Dial has mild age patina in the bottom left hand corner but nothing that requires renovation,possibly just a clean and has raised gold dots and Arabic numerals within a square chapter ring and a seconds dial at position six. All hands are in gold and the dial signed, BENRUS. Watch dates from around the early 1960s. Strong running movement runs well,keeping good time for an old 'un and is stamped, BENRUS Watch Co Inc, Model 1, 17 Jewels, Swiss, Unadjusted. This distinctive watch from a quality American manufacturer comes on a new 'Croco' brown leather strap. Nice timepiece.
