HI, This Auction is for the large three blade Serpentine Whittler pattern pocket knife made by Bertram cutlery Solingen Germany.According to my book on Cutlery markings this knife was made from 1865-1980.Hen & Rooster is a trade mark used by Bertram Cutlery.This knife measures 3 5/8" in the closed position and features beautiful Jigged black bone with the very famous Hen & Rooster logo inlay Shield.The handles are flawless.This gorgeous knife has never been used,carried or re-sharpened and comes with it's original two piece box and packaging.The bolsters are high gloss German Nickle & Silver and the pins & liners are Brass.The blades have great opening and closing snap which is notorious for this Serpentine pattern type.This Whittler has the larger Master blade than most and the knife is also the larger Whittler.It has double Springs and not the split back style.Each blade is stamped with the Hen & Rooster logo.The tang stamp on the Master blade is Bertram Cutlery Rostfrei which is Stainless in German and 113BPB Solingen Germany.The Sheep Foot blade also has the pattern number 113 BPB.This knife Company has been making knives for a very long time and they are very collectible high end knives.T are no blade rubs that I can see and the bolsters look great as well.The knife is absolute mint and would be a great addition to anyone's
