Hello Ebay vintage jewelry lovers! This week I was lucky enough to find some great signed antique, costume jewelry items from WEISS and MIRIAM HASKELL as well as other makers, which I will be listing on ebay thisweekend. I only pick the very best pieces for my ebay customers. I am a 14+ year Ebay Seller and I list costume jewelry every weekend, as well as other high quality old stuff. This is truly antique MIRIAM HASKELL at her best! The baroque pearls, the center focal point with all of the hand wired elements...it is all the very BEST of MIRIAM HASKELL and these sets are very hard to find. Set is in really nice condition and I show lots and lots of photos for you to see each section of it. Necklace features an elaborate rhinestone and baroque pearl, flower clasp, that is typical of antique MIRIAM HASKELL necklaces. The other side has a lovely rhinestone round and a faux Lapis Lazuli large round bead at the end that would dangle down the back of your neck if you were wearing the necklace with your hair up. So pretty. There are 10, baroque pearls on each side, which are separated by tiny gold spacer beads. I see one spot in the necklace where there are 2 tiny gold spacer beads together, not sure if this is a defect in the necklace construction, but I had to look really closely to even notice it. Then as we move down the strands there are the 4 faux Lapis Lazuli beads on each side separated by clear rhinestone rounds. Some of the clear rhinestones in the rounds are darker than others. I found 2 little rhinestone rounds in the bottom of the antique jewelry box that I found this necklace in. I don't know if they came from this necklace but I will include those for the winning bidder in case they would like to repair or lengthen the necklace. The center focal point is a masterpiece of hand wired, blue rhinestones, clear rhinestones, baroque pearls, turquoise glass beads, and ice blue glass beads, as well as the faux Lapis Lazuli beads all set into an elaborate display of brass or antiqued gold-tone metal, leaves and berries. Gorgeous! Necklace measures 16.5 inches long and is adjustable to a shorter length. Focal point measures 2 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall. It is signed MIRIAM HASKELL in an oval cartouche on the back. Earrings feature all of the same design elements as the focal piece of the necklace, just on a smaller scale. Earrings are clip-ons. There is a condition issue with the earrings and I almost missed it all together, but I always try and inspect the antique jewelry that I list on ebay very carefully and describe each item. I am often told by my ebay customers that items arrive "better than described". One of the clip-on earring backs has "MIRIAM HASKELL on the back. The other clip-on earring back reads "1/20th 12k gold filled". Someone must have replaced an earring back at one time and the condition issue is that the earring back is upside down. You can see it clearly in the photo that I show of the earring backs. I don't think that it would be a really noticeable thing to have one of the earrings upside down because they are such an elaborate array of materials, but that is up the lucky winning bidder. A jeweler could remove the back and turn it upside down for you, I imagine. They measure 1 1/8th inches tall and the clip-on backings "snap back" when you close them like they should.
