Most exquisite aqua satin quilt I've ever had the privelege of seeing!! Far better than the English eiderdown and one reason for that being they seem always to be so small. This one is 72 inches by 84 inches. Will fit a twin, but I don't know if it would work as comforter on double as I don't have a double. Will NOT work on a queen or king. This is definetely satin and not taffeta (had to add that as I have bought so called satin only to find that it's taffeta). Very thick very fluffy with 100% goose down as label reads. Date on Oregon label says 1959, I think, and that's when I would date this. This looks like Trapunto stuffed quilt on the top and of course I cannot take this apart to see what method they used. It is very thick and the stitching is machine done. The huge medallion on the top can be used either way, up or down. That's always nice because you can turn the quilt so one edge is not subject to all the wear. Now for flaws: One tiny hole, 2 stains and these are pictured with pencil points. One corner has dirt or something on it and that is pictured also. T are scratches on quilt and an example is shown with 2 scratches and a pencil between them. Like when you run a fingernail on your skin but the skin is not broken, just abrased. I cannot explain it any other way. That's it for flaws, no other holes, tears, staining, read more
