Description: A mint 1890's "not so crazy" crazy quilt. The reason I say this, is this is like a crazy quilt only it is done in blocks. There is extensive stunning hand embroidery that connects the blocks. Perfectly stitched. All in a mustard gold color. The back is all heavy silk in a mustard color. There are 58 8.5 inch blocks, set on point, each edged with the hand embroidered star shape. The blocks contain, hand embroidery, applique, ribbonwork, silk damask, satin, and pieces of silk that look like tobacco silks but they are bigger. The edging is ribbon binding that is the same as the back of the quilt. It is done by machine. I have additional photos that I can send if you request them. There are absolutely no tears or frays. The only problem is the silk back has a very small amount of water spotting. This could be cleaned at a professional cleaners. This quilt was used very little to not at all. The man I purchased it from said it was his grandmother's quilt. He said he found it stored in a trunk. Dimensions: 85" x 60" I am planning on shipping this USPS. It will take a large box, and it weighs 5.5 pounds. If you would prefer another shipping method, please contact me. I am all about saving shipping costs, and I am more than happy to work with you. If the actual shipping is less than what you paid, I will refund the difference. The actual shipping costs will be printed on the lable so you can verify.
