I am selling a collection of Beswick china Beatrix Potter figurines for a friend. All are in mint condition and boxed, and date from the 1970s and 1980s. This is "Pickles", the backstamp indicates this was made somewhere between 1974-1985. There is a number hand written on the base but I can't quite make it out. Taller than some of the other figures listed, approx height just over 4 1/2". Original Beswick box which is also in good condition, a couple of creases and dented at the front. For a little bit of history, the character figures were not made until 1948, after Beatrix Potter's death, produced by the John Beswick factory, which was acquired by Royal Doulton in 1969. They continued to make the figures. These figures are highly collectable, particularly since many were withdrawn in the 1990s and are therefore hard to find.
