Beautiful & RARE , HO scale Bev-Bel Atlas/Kato Delaware & Hudson RS-3 Diesel Locomotive, in "Excellent Plus" Overall Condition In Original Box. Made in Japan. Road # 4042, Stock # 4301. Take a look at the photos (enlarged) and see what you think. (Pardon any camera flash reflection.) ALL factory-installed detail parts are present as loco appears to have been very gently run for just a few minutes. Perhaps it has only been test-run. Loco was manufactured by Kato, painted by Bev-Bel and distributed by Atlas. As can be seen in last 3 photos, all the silver metal wheels are extremely clean and show no significant wear. Bench-tested and it ran smoothly in both directions, like a typical Kato. Headlights work on both ends. The roadname lettering on one side of the loco is sharper than the other side (see 2nd & 3rd photos), but I believe that's how it was made. Loco has been upgraded with Kadee knuckle couplers installed. Both trucks are stamped "Kato" & "Made In Japan". As can be seen in 1st photo, the box is shelf-worn , but it still remains in very good/solid condition with window intact. Styrofoam insert is also in very good shape.
